As rumored, the Alias 2 will launch in all channels on May 11th. It will shed the cramped dual QWERTY-numeric keyboard of the original Alias in favor of a dynamic electronic ink keyboard known as the “Magic Keypad”. Those who appreciate the slim form factor of the original Alias will be happy to know that the Alias 2 sports similar dimensions. Pricing on the new QWERTY V CAST phone will come in at an exceptionally low $79.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and two-year contract. A one-year contract will set you back $149 after a $50 mail-in-rebate or you can pony up $249 for full retail. Hit the jump for a full rundown of the official specs and a closeup of the “Magic Keypad”.
