The launch of the Apple iPhone two years ago and the recent launch of the Motorola Droid looks like another nail in the coffin for Windows Mobile, this latest smartphone release could finally be what kills off Microsoft’s Mobile OS; this is according to an article from Cnet . It is no secret that Windows Mobile is losing popularity and the launch of Google Android 2.0 is certainly showing that Windows Mobile is looking a little tired. Cnet admit that the popularity of a product is reliant on the media, and they have given a huge amount of buzz to Android 2.0. Whenever something is getting all the attention, then something will always suffer, and that is Windows Mobile, which many believe has been moved to the has-been pile. SFGate.com reports that at the launch of the Motorola Droid on Friday, Microsoft was nowhere to be seen. I do worry about Microsoft, they promise so much with a new product and what we get is something totally different.
