The Picardy city of Amiens may not be off the beaten track, and La Cathédrale Notre-Dame is not exactly a hidden gem. For the many thousands of tourists that visit the Somme battlefields, Amiens is always included on their itinerary, and the Cathedral can be seen for miles around. But the Cathedral in colour is one of those attractions few visitors to the city get to see. Sometimes the idea of a sound and light show on the front façade of a cathedral does not have much pulling power.
