It seems so long ago that the Empire State Building was the tallest in the world. Now, in comparison, the Empire State Building might as well be a hotel. Skyscraper technology has advanced to a point where it seems we are crowning a new “tallest building” every 5 years. First it was the Petronas Towers, then the Shanghai World Financial Center, and finally came Taipei 101. When the Burj Dubai is completed early next year, where will we go from there? The Burj Dubai will undoubtedly be the tallest building in the world when it finishes completion in early 2010 after nearly 5 years of construction
