The TravelMate 8471 is available in various alternatives and price categories. The lowest-price model costs around 760 euro and the most expensive model, with a UMTS module, 1225 euro. Frigid Fellow. Asus expands its K-Series to a 16.0 inch display with the K61IC. The Ice-Cool technology is once again on board and provides for comfortable temperatures on the palm rest. But this isn’t the only surprise. The maker also amps up the graphic card to a Nvidia GeForce GT 220M. Does this perhaps change the previously lame office notebook into a true racer?

As games become more realistic, they require higher performance from PCs and notebooks, thus requiring companies like Asus to constantly improve their gaming models so as to keep up with the latest games. So it comes as no surprise that the new Intel Core i7 CPUs are now being used for a few chosen Asus gaming laptops.
